Seven days. One campus. Six federations. Thirty-one districts. More than two thousand young people who arrived as strangers, or simply as individuals, and left feeling like family.
This isn't a highlights reel. It's the story behind the photos. The quiet moments, the laughter, the worship, the challenges, the friendships, the conversations that changed people, and the countless little moments that reminded us what community really looks like.
Day by day. Moment by moment. This is what happens when people choose to show up… not just for an event, but for each other.

Strangers at the gate.
Everyone arrives carrying something — a bag, a Bible, a quiet hope that this week will be different. First glances across the yard. Tentative smiles. The careful introductions that happen before you actually know someone. There is something tender about the very beginning, when nobody has laughed together yet, when everything is still possibility and nobody has made a mistake yet.
"You don't know it yet, but the person you just smiled at will be the one you cry next to on the last night.

Not the Christmas you expected.
Christmas morning, away from home, surrounded by people who were strangers yesterday. No family table. No familiar traditions. And yet — something unexpected happens. The singing starts earlier than anyone planned. Someone brings out a guitar. The breakfast table becomes something sacred. This is not the Christmas you're used to. It might be the one you remember longest.
"I've never sung Happy Birthday to Jesus with 200 people at 6am. Now I have.

When the walls start coming down.
By the third day, something has loosened. The worship sessions run longer than scheduled because nobody wants to stop. Someone shares something they've never said out loud before. The room gets very quiet — and then it doesn't — because others recognise themselves in those words. This is what camp is really for. Not the programme. This.
"I came here for camp. I didn't know I was also coming to be known.

The midpoint. Everything shifts.
Midweek. The new friendships have found their rhythm. The inside jokes have started. You stop introducing yourself to people — you just sit next to them. Something breaks open in the worship service that nobody quite expected. Afterwards, people stand around in the compound for a long time, not wanting to go back to their rooms, just being near each other in the dark.
"You know you're in the right place when leaving feels like the wrong direction.

Pure joy, no performance.
After Sunday service, the energy releases into something uncontained. Activities. Sports. The kind of laughter that makes your stomach hurt. Candid photos that nobody posed for. This is the day you'll remember when you're older — not for anything particular, just for the feeling of being completely present, completely yourself, completely surrounded by people who have somehow become yours in less than a week.
"My cheeks hurt from smiling. I didn't know that was possible.

When you start holding on.
You know it's almost over. This is the day that sharpens everything — conversations get more honest, hugs last a little longer, the sunset gets a full audience. People exchange numbers they know they'll actually use. Some make promises about next year. Somewhere in a corner of the compound, someone is definitely crying, and that is absolutely alright.
"The last full day always feels like a gift and a wound at the same time.

The drive home. The quiet realization.
The bags are packed. The goodbyes are long and imperfect because no goodbye ever does the week justice. On the drive home, the music plays but nobody talks for a while. You look out the window and think about what you're carrying back that you didn't bring with you. The camp is over. The story isn't. It continues in every group chat, every reunion, every quiet moment when you remember who you became here.
"I went for camp. I came home for something else entirely.

Every person who was at camp carries a piece of it forward. In the conversations they have, the way they worship, the people they stay close to. The week ends. What it started doesn't.
